Armen Rafayel Hovhannisyan

Plastic Surgeon, Ph.D. in Medical Sciences. He has been an Associate Professor at the Chair of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Microsurgery of Yerevan State Medical University after M. Heratsi since 1996. He has headed the Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery service at Erebuni Medical Center since 2000 and "Da Vinci" Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine Clinic since 2001.
From 1981-1987 studied at the Faculty of General Medicine of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi.
From 1987-1999 he was a clinical resident at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery of the Moscow All-Union Scientific Center of Surgery and Ph.D. student of the same department from 1989-1992.
In 1992 he defended his dissertation in Moscow and received his Ph.D. in medical sciences. From 1984-1986 worked as an anesthesiologist in the Anesthesiology Department of Yerevan Ambulance Hospital.
From 1987-1992 worked as a surgeon at the Department of Emergency Microsurgery at N 71 Hospital in Moscow. From 1992-1996 worked as a surgeon at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgery of the Institute of Surgery after Mikaelyan.
From 1996-2000 headed the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive Surgery, and Microsurgery of the Yerevan University Hospital # 1.
He has participated in numerous training courses both in Armenia and abroad. He is the President of the Armenian Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (AAPRAS), a member of the European Union of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS) and International Confederation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (IPRAS).
He has been awarded the diplomas of the Ministry of Health. He is the author of 52 scientific articles published in Armenian, Russian and American journals.
